ARCHITECTURAL PLANNING

LOBBY, ADMINISTRATION AND OFFICE SPACE

The Architectural/Space Planning for this facility, first and foremost, considers the mission critical characteristics of a Data Center facility. Also of high importance, are staffing and other support considerations necessary for the operations of a reliable Data Center facility.

The space includes a reception and lobby area with seating for guests. Secure access required beyond the lobby to the rest of the facility. The programmatic functions are located with convenient arrangement to each other and the open office environment is intentioned to promote a collaborative workspace environment. Prospective tenants will transparently see both the security systems and the active workings of the servers within the Data Halls. Tenants may require “touchdown” work spaces to perform routine business activities and make efficient use of time during their visit to their leased server space. Similar to tech office environments, additional informal space is dedicated to break activities including comfortable seating, beverage bar and other amenities.

DATA HALL AREA (POD)

The Data Hall program is based upon industry standards with flexibility to support emerging technologies. The facility includes critical 24/7 service support with little to no down time. In addition, the team built upon industry best practices to ensure safe, organized, and reliable environments for technology infrastructure.

The Cirrus Data Services data center is built around our standard 8MW Data Center Module, each containing four 2MW Pods, with a tech load power density of 200W/SF with hot aisle containment.

The design is based on Tier III topography with flexibility and expansion considerations built into the plan. Our Tier III/Tier II Data Center will provide a reliable and functional facility supported by cooling and emergency electrical power allowing for concurrent maintenance without interrupting operations.
